RE: DISTRICT SCIENCE FAIR Saturday, March 7, 2015

You are invited to participate in the 29thannual MDUSD Elementary Science Fair for third through fifth grade students. In accordance with MDUSD’s Career Integrated Academics Initiative and the federal focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Education, we are asking for projects to have a connection to either a real life, workplace situation with a connection to Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Encourage students to consider how their project connects to a work situation and include a brief statement on the entry form.

Please fill out the attached site information form so that I may make direct contact with your Science Fair representative. As in the past, six science fair entries, two per grade level will be accepted per site.

Please return the attached “Site Information Form” by November 7, 2014 indicating who your site contact person is and whether or not you will be participating in the District Science Fair in March to Jan Robertson at Willow Creek Center.

Please schedule your site Science Fair at least two weeks prior to the District Science Fair, for it takes us this much time to print your student names in the program and their certificates.

If I can be of any assistance please call me at 925-682-8000, ext.4036 or via email: schirmerm@mdusd.org .
